    How we can help

We offer a supportive and caring service for people with mental health needs who are being seen at:

    • Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital
    • North Devon District Hospital
    • Torbay Hospital

Many people using the general hospital will have a mental health need in addition to a physical condition.

If you need our help we can offer:

    • An assessment of your mental health needs
    • Short term treatment and support whilst you are in hospital
    • Referral to relevant services
    • Support and advice to your family or carers.

We also train and advise hospital staff about a range of mental health conditions.

  • How to get help

    How to get help

A member of your medial team will discuss a referral with you. If you agree to a referral to our service we will see you and make an assessment of you needs.

This assessment will involve you talking to a member of the team about your situation. The meeting will take place privately. Our aim is to work in partnership with you to find ways to help.

Professionals can contact us via the local hospital switch board.
